Banana

Bananas are a friend of the athletes because they are rich in calories, nutrition and potassium. One medium sized banana contains about 120 calories. Potassium is an electrolyte needed for your kind of body organs to work properly. After a workout course you miss two things, Calories and Electrolyte. Bananas can replace it. In addition, bananas contain ingredients that exist in sports drink : antioxidants, fiber and vitamin B.

Chocolate Milk 

Sports drinks were created to maintain freshness after a half or a day of activities, also to help the recovery of tired bodies. But the latest research say, low-fat chocolate milk work better than sports drink.

According to the Mayo Clinic, chocolate milk has the three essential components to the recovery process, namely carbohydrates in the form of lactose, electrolytes potassium and sodium, protein from casein and whey.

Coconut Water

Coconut water has long been regarded as a natural sport drink, and it was true. Coconut water is full of electrolytes potassium and low in calories, Actually, Athletes need more than just potassium. They also require a low amount of sodium in coconut water. But for those who do not practice as hard as athlete, natural coconut water and low in calories is the best option.

Raisins
